This week I have read some shocking and also ‘un interesting’ article
reported on Kenyan standard newspaper which talked about the big scramble for
pastors by their single female congregants. The scramble is not for blessings
but to woe them for sex or relationship.  You will certainly be disgusted to

This demonstrates a negative trend or shift from the Biblical teaching, the
fear of God and the honour that marriage deserves. If people can pose like
faithful church member but loaded with ill motives of dislodging the servants of
God through sexual trap then it is evident that the enemy has been given a
foothold. This is a problem that the church leadership cannot be quiet about if
its stand is to gain credibility and if we are to play the role of ambassadors
of a kingdom that is divine and holy. If there lacks good will to guide, teach,
correct, rebuke and train church members into the Biblical standards then the
church will be the incubator of hell customers. Certainly Jesus died on the
cross to redeem people from the dungeons and fetters of Satan.prepare for
heaven

The sin of immorality being grafted in the church and embedded among the
congregants is symbol of a sleeping church. The first church would not tolerate
such wickedness. It appears the spirit that propelled in Portiphar’s wife is now
on the loose and it needs to be confronted by men who have the spirit that was
in Joseph. Joseph refused to lower his calibre to that of an immoral believer
because he had a conviction that such an act was evil and an abomination before
God. There are some temptations that need more than simple prayers; they also
need physical action, we see Joseph took to his heel and fled from the
temptation of this adulterous woman. The Bibles tells us to, “Submit yourselves,
then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7) If you
make Satan to be your partner then you will go where he wants and do what he
commands.

Paul the apostle knew that sexual sin is a big block to Christian progress
and inhibits people from being genuine worshippers. He addressed the issue in a
number of places starting in Corinth where a man had been involved in
infidelity. “It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you,
and of a kind that even pagans do not tolerate: A man is sleeping with his
father’s wife. ² And you are proud! Shouldn’t you rather have gone
into mourning and have put out of your fellowship the man who has been doing
this? ³ For my part, even though I am not physically present, I am
with you in spirit. As one who is present with you in this way, I have already
passed judgment in the name of our Lord Jesus on the one who has been doing
this. ⁴ So when you are assembled and I am with you in spirit, and
the power of our Lord Jesus is present, ⁵ hand this man over to Satan
for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of
the Lord” 1 Corinthians 5: 1-5

Paul did not stop at throwing this man to Satan but he later in chapter six
warned the believers against this sin using the following words, “Flee from
sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who
sins sexually sins against his own body”. 1Corinthians 6:18. This vividly puts
you on alert that there are some associations that you need to physically break
from, there are some bodily contacts that you need to avoid, there are some talk
that you need not allow your mouth to talk, and there are things that you need
not allow your mind to meditate on. This is because Satan is not your uncle that
he need multiple of your hugs. David prayed and said that “may the words of my
mouth and the meditation on my heart be acceptable before you Oh Lord. Psalms
19:14. It is the responsibility of every spouse to keep marital faithful and
refuse betrayal of the covenant promise that they gave to each other. The
declaration of being married “until death do us part” is practical, achievable
and should mark your consciousness boundaries. You should remain being alert of
some characters of opposite sex who are marriage breakers and since their moves
are not empowered from heaven but operate under satanic anointing. These
characters would like to blindfold you wanting to present themselves as superior
mates but I believe that they have nothing special more than lies, evil
intention, lust and reprobate minds.

The enemy has shifted from being shy and is now right in the church and the
only way to defeat his moves is for the pastor and the church leadership to be
spiritually conscious. They should wage defensive warfare without giving the
devil any room to breathe and assert himself in the church. The pastor should
address the issue of immodesty not only when it is directed to him but as a
general rule in places of worship. I know some weak women will rush utter that
freedom of dressing and rights of expression but it is important to know that
there are expectations and rules that govern the house of God. It should be
within the spiritual ethos of the church or the creed and doctrinal standards to
nurture holiness of the body, soul and spirit.  Church leaders must refuse an
ideology that ushers in a negative skew towards worldliness. They should arm
themselves with a cloak of holy living at whatever cost. It is wrong to be so
weak as to allow some sinful permissiveness having ignored the scriptural
teachings on morality or any other doctrine. It is the same trend of spiritual
blindness and cunningness from hell that has ushered in strange relationships
and some in the church seems carnally defend these theories. We may not judge
what the world is doing since there is the judge but in the church we have the
mandate to use the manual for holy living and straighten up matters.

The church is a place for solutions where immobilised relationships should
be put back on truck but not a place to immobilise stable relationships. This
general tolerance of sexual evil is what made the church of Thyatira in Asia
Minor be sharply rebuked by Jesus in the revelation that he gave to John. The
church was told “Nevertheless, I have this against you: You tolerate that woman
Jezebel, who calls herself a prophet. By her teaching she misleads my servants
into sexual immorality and the eating of food sacrificed to idols. ²¹
I have given her time to repent of her immorality, but she is unwilling.
²² So I will cast her on a bed of suffering, and I will make those
who commit adultery with her suffer intensely, unless they repent of her ways.
²³ I will strike her children dead. Then all the churches will know
that I am he who searches hearts and minds, and I will repay each of you
according to your deeds” Revelation 2: 20-23. It calls for every Christian to
examine one self and see if at is standing or has completely fallen.

The cleansing should start right at the altar, for when the spirit in
command is infested with lust of the fresh then the followers will be fully
submerged into the same. The devil inhabits where he is welcome and where he has
built a habitation. It is this allowance that has made the church to be cold
that every fly can easily rest there with all the dirt from various other
destinations.  This brings a big contamination in the church can easily be
quenched by the absence of the Holy fire.
